In the beginning of the game each player receives 6 animal tokens, the screen to hide his components behind, and the game board to place his tokens on. All animals, 6 animal tokens and board for tracking victory points are placed in front of players. The rest of animal tokens are placed in the special bag, where no one can see them. One of the players receives the first player token.

When the game begins, the first player names the number on players’ game boards, and each player places any animal token from his stock there. Notice that an animal token can be placed one of two sides up.

Animal token, which lies quaint animal side up, will help its owner gain victory points, and the more same animals there are next to each other, the more points he will get. On the other hand, the token, which lies coral side up, allows its owner to take two animal tokens (which lie animal side up on the table or from the bag). More to be told, corals allow to fence one reserve on the game board off another.

The game lasts 36 rounds, in each of that one player names one number, then all players place the animal token on this number, after that the first player token is passed clockwise. When all players have fully filled their game boards, they see who the winner is. And the winner is the one who could create as many territories as possible, each of those being as bigger as possible and contain the rarest animals by themselves.
